20 years ago today, on the backdrop of NYC where 9/11 happened and out of the ashes we met.

Having no idea what would lie ahead, we wanted it to be US, in love, on time, together.

Marriage….that furnace and flame, delight and dreams, sorrow and satisfaction. Starting in faith, forged in the fire, committed until death us do part.

Blending a family, building a church, fighting in faith, tears and agonies, so many heartaches yet JOY, crazy surprising joys.

It’s gone so fast yet feels like just yesterday, so many adventures with friends, travel and projects and memories galore. Every year a treasure.

@pastorronlewis it had to be YOU, so grateful for the grace to wait for my and only, to say yes again and again, to laugh and cry, press in and press on. You and I forever, with our kids & growing family. Always only for HIM and the Kingdom. Happy 20th Anniversary yay!

I’ve been thinking back to all the moments in my life & career when someone advocated for a divine open door on my behalf.

So often we wonder if we’re doing enough, making the right connections, need to be more proactive, or entirely let go.

Truth is, God has unique surprising ways of moving on peoples’ hearts on your behalf when the time is right and all things are ready.

In this case it was my dear @c1rarity whom I’d met at a book signing years prior, who so graciously invited my participation in the @thebushcenter Women’s Initiative focused on empowering women in the Middle East. Such an honor to serve the vision of Charity and @laurawbush and @georgewbush whose imprint on lives and nations remains.
